"As soon as I made the decision to move from Libertyville to Arizona, the concerns set in. 'How in the world does one sell a house? Will I have to do hours of statistical research online? How should I choose an agent who I will enjoy working with?”' My worries stopped as soon as I met Lori Progar. Choosing an agent? - there were hundreds out there with online profiles. I decided to interview 1 agent from Coldwell Banker and 1 from Remax. I had seen some positive reviews about Lori online, however intuition played a role in my choice as well. She just seemed like a kind person when looking at her picture! How right this would prove to be.
We hit it off immediately with Lori’s lively and charming personality filling the room. I felt comfortable with her from the first day. And this is exactly the type of rapport I was looking for because even though I knew almost nothing about selling a house, I did know that my agent would have to be someone intelligent, someone I trusted and could rely on in order for this project to be a success My experience with the Remax agent was unfortunately less than positive. Not only did he carry a pompous, condescending attitude about my home, but he ultimately wanted me to list it for $430K. Lori accomplished the sale for $485K. That speaks for itself. No doubt the Remax agent viewed me as someone who knew little about the housing market and this would be a quick sale. Lori was obviously willing to go the extra mile by putting more effort into the project.
I realized that Lori not only executes her real estate work quickly and efficiently, abiding by the highest standards, but she also rescues people and animals. Humanitarian is the most fitting description for Lori. From our conversations, I learned that she has devoted countless selfless hours assisting people in need as well as caring for, saving and finding homes for dogs. She wisely uses her extensive reservoir of contacts to create a web of charity throughout the area What I appreciate most in Lori is that she is not a stereotype; she’s “real” and she’s cool without being pretentious or trying to play a part When looking for a real estate agent who has your best interests at heart, be sure to seek out the PERSON you want to work with, rather than a company name.
